Swedish born actress and TEDx speaker Jannica Olin is Hollywood's Only Bald Blonde. A graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, Jannica has worked extensively in theatre (immersive and stage), film, commercials and music videos in the US, UK, Australia and Sweden. Yes, she has lived in all those places.
In 2014, Jannica lost all her hair to Alopecia and went on an inward journey of finding her place in the world again, as a woman, and as an actor. What she uncovered and discovered through that journey, led her to be invited to give a TEDx talk in Normal, Illinois in October 2018.
It also inspired Jannica to write the one-woman show; (IM)PERFEKT, which had its' world premiere at the Hollywood Fringe Festival in June 2019 to sold-out houses. The show went on to win the Producers' Encore Award as well as receiving a nomination for the Diverse Diva Award by The Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival and took home an Honorable Mention and Gold by TVOLUTION as well as a Critics' Choice Award by Better Lemons.
Through her work as a speaker and performer; Jannica shines the light on an often disempowering beauty ideal and wants us all to fully embrace who we are and what we look like. Whether on stage speaking to students and organizations; performing her solo show or appearing on TV and film, Jannica is redefining what our idea of beauty, normal and perfect is supposed to look like.
"The freedom to fully be yourself without any apologies; that's where your true power lies."
In 2017, Jannica was nominated for the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Women’s Summit; an event that recognizes and honors outstanding professional women who have made significant contributions to their professions and the Los Angeles community.
