Steven Lancaster's dramatic/sci-fi books (Jacob, Da-vid, Scott, and Erron) which 9 Lives Entertainment has the worldwide exclusive rights to (under Dr. Luke Rex), served as inspiration for the deeper layers of thematic narrative the short film Bonding might explore as a limited TV Series.
First time director, Dr. Luke Rex also produced and wrote Bonding which features an outstanding ensemble cast (Jannica Olin, Luke Rex, Darren Lipari, and Ryan Stroud), scintillating and edgy cinematography from Laura Jansen, a slick and thoughtful edit by Pete Szijarto (who also served as the film's colorist and Post EP), and an exceptional film score and sound design by Daniel Teo. Associate producers were Jean Bernard Rutagarama, Christian "Tico" Herrera, and Jaime Saginor, whose experiences across multiple creative domains including cinematography, producing, acting, directing, and writing all fused to accentuate a high quality production on multiple levels. An original song, "Ascension" (conceived by Rex) was also included in the piece; matured, heightened and fully realized by the talents and arranging collaborative efforts of Daniel Teo (music producer/editor/composer/arranger & musician), Greg Beaton (musician/composer/arranger), and Jeff Turmes (saxophone).
A film in the drama/thriller/suspense spy genre with esoteric origins, Bonding is currently being submitted to Film Festivals across the globe for the 2023/2024 circuit. Stay tuned for further updates.
